/..../ I didn’t see it coming
I’m just not in the running
Take me on a train ’cos I’m not flying
I can see the world from a different side
Read about us in the morning papers
When we make it alive
I didn’t see it coming
I’m just not in the running
And we don’t need a lifetime
We’re following the right line
Letters to Juliet
I have recently seen the film Letters to Juliet which was released in 2010. Although it is an American film, almost all the story takes place in Italy. It is a love story about an old woman who travels to Italy looking for the man she loved when she was young.
I think that the actors and the director do a really good work and the music matches perfectly with the different scenes what creates a lovely atmosphere. As you can see, I really enjoyed it, I think mostly because of the different settings and the charming story.

Why are there so few great women artists?
According to tradition, in the past a woman’s place was in the home, she was under the tutelage, first of her father and then of her husband. Her main duties were to be a wife, a mother, and then run a household. If a woman escaped these duties to become a artist it was an exception to the rule.
Today there are many great women artists. It was only in the 20th century when the mass of women became eligible (legally as well as culturally) to receive the highest levels of artistic training. So this brings us to the problem we face today, copyrights. Most great women artists are under the protection of copyrights and their estates have choosen not to allow their images to be used....
´The history of all times, and of today especially, teaches that... women will be forgotten if they forget to think about themselves`.

Churches of the Kingdom of the Asturias
Built starting in the 9th century, the churches around Oviedo are a testimony to the small Christian kingdom of Asturias during the splendour of the Emirate of Cordoba. Their pre-Romanesque architecture, which holds a unique place in the history of art, had a considerable influence on the development of medieval architecture in the Iberian peninsula.
